At Build a Band, kids got to build one of two instruments: a guitar (out of a cardboard box and rubber bands) or a drum (out of a paper plate and dry beans). Kids learned the basic mechanics of how these kinds of instruments work, and teamed up to learn a song by the Dodos (longtime Magik collaborators who were performing that week at the Stern Grove Festival).
